1978 BMW R45
This BMW R45 boasts a beautifully painted tank in Triumph Imperial Purple, fading seamlessly into black— a striking colour combination that deserved to be shown at its best. Unfortunately, scuff marks had appeared on the front of the tank, subtly detracting from its flawless look.
Using advanced machine polishing techniques, I carefully addressed these scuffs, reducing their visibility while preserving the integrity of the fresh paintwork. Polishing a newly painted surface requires precision and a deep understanding of the limits to ensure the lacquer layer remains intact and full of depth. Going too far could compromise the protection and finish, but with the right balance, the tank was restored to its intended glory.
The final result speaks for itself: a rich, glossy surface that reflects light like glass, highlighting that beautiful purple underneath so it really pops. This level of care not only enhances the appearance but also protects the paint for miles to come.
